The Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme which was introduced by the European Union (EU) on 1st July 2021. If you are a non-EU business selling goods under the value of 150EUR to customers in the EU, you can now provide an IOSS VAT registration number with the goods that have been sold. This means that the end customer is not charged tax on entry of the goods to the end country. Please note, only goods shipped in a single package with a total price of up to 150EUR will qualify for the IOSS.
How IOSS works with Huboo?
Huboo supports this regulatory change, by ensuring that an IOSS number can be allocated to each order. If an order is placed through one of the following a Marketplace Channels; Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Fruugo, the IOSS number for the specified channel will be automatically allocated to the order. If an IOSS number is entered in the client dashboard, orders outside of the listed marketplaces will include the client IOSS number.
Can I add an IOSS number to manual order?
Yes, you can. All you need to do is select your channel when placing your order and Huboo will do the rest. By selecting the name of the Marketplace Channel, we will then automatically apply the relevant IOSS number to the specified order.
How can I add an IOSS number to orders when placing them via the CSV upload file?
When uploading a manual order via the CSV upload file, simply specify the relevant Marketplace Channel in the new (optional) ‘Channel’ column available to you. Please note, Marketplace Channel IOSS numbers will only be automatically applied to order lines specified in the CSV. If the Marketplace Channel does not have a IOSS number available, we will add your individual IOSS number to order.
Will Huboo allocate my IOSS number to orders if I sell from my own website?
Yes, we have recently implemented a new feature that will ensure that your IOSS number will be automatically applied to orders sold from your own website. Simply add your IOSS number to the VAT information section available within the Billing Information page on your Huboo Dashboard (as per the example below). Once added, please ensure that you specify ‘Other’ as the Sales (Marketplace) Channel and your own IOSS number will apply to any relevant orders.
